About this program
The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant is the successor to the Canada-Alberta Job Grant: Alberta's job-grant URL now serves the CAPG page. It is an employer-driven program that cost-shares direct training costs — tuition, course fees, textbooks, software, examination fees and approved travel. Employee wages are not eligible. Training must be instructional, involve a qualified instructor, take place in Alberta, and finish within 52 weeks. Apply before training starts.
Who is eligible
Private sector employers including incorporated and unincorporated businesses and partnerships, non-profit employers, and First Nations and Metis Settlements. Trainees must be current or prospective employees who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons entitled to work in Canada.
