BSP supports high-growth British Columbia businesses to scale up, adopt new technologies and expand into new markets. PacifiCan's own at-a-glance panel states the funding is repayable, not a grant, and that the program is not currently accepting applications. The program is highly competitive and PacifiCan states that not all applicants will receive funding.

Who is eligible

Incorporated, high-growth for-profit businesses in British Columbia, operating at least 2 years in Canada with staffed operating facilities in BC. Contributions are interest-free but repayable, beginning one year after project completion and repaid in monthly instalments over five years, with no collateral required and no penalty for early repayment. Up to 50% of eligible costs is reimbursed, up to four times a year. At least 50% of project funding must come from non-government sources, confirmed at application and again before approval; forecasted revenues, accounts receivable, future funding commitments and SR&ED credit receivables are not accepted as confirmation.
