Cost-share support of up to 35% of eligible costs to improve and rehabilitate community infrastructure in rural Ontario, from $25,000 to $250,000 for large projects and up to $25,000 for small projects. This stream is delivered under the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) program, which replaced the Rural Economic Development (RED) program and its Strategic Economic Infrastructure stream. The cost share moved from 30% under RED to up to 35% under ROD.

Municipalities, Indigenous communities or organizations, local services boards, and not-for-profit organizations in eligible rural areas of Ontario. Small businesses apply through the separate Business Development Stream.
