Cost-share support of up to 35% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $10,000, for projects by small rural businesses. This is the one Rural Ontario Development (ROD) stream open to businesses rather than communities; ROD replaced the Rural Economic Development (RED) program.
Who is eligible
Small brick-and-mortar businesses with 1 to 20 employees in eligible rural areas of Ontario. Municipalities, not-for-profits, Indigenous communities and local services boards apply through the community streams instead.
