Cost-share support of up to 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $50,000, for projects that develop strategies or plans enhancing a community's ability to prepare for and engage in economic development activities. This stream is delivered under the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) program, which replaced the Rural Economic Development (RED) program.
Who is eligible
Municipalities, Indigenous communities or organizations, local services boards, and not-for-profit organizations in eligible rural areas of Ontario. Small businesses apply through the separate Business Development Stream.
