About this program
The Strategic Response Fund supports large-scale, transformative projects that build economic resilience, strengthen supply chains and protect jobs in sectors such as steel, aluminum, automotive, forest products, AI and advanced technologies. It replaces the former Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF), continuing existing commitments while expanding support for industries hit by trade disruption and tariffs. Its three priorities are tariff response, innovation, and the AI Compute Challenge.
